BECTU courses
BECTU is a trade union not a training provider - but we do try to run a number of courses that our members have told us would help them in their careers. We run a small number of editing courses, some technical theatre workshops and a programme of personal skills workshops to help you find and keep work.
- Editing courses
- BECTU runs subsidised courses in Introductory Final Cut Pro, Intermediate Final Cut Pro and Adobe AfterEffects. We are able to do this through support from the Union Learning Fund.
- Technical Theatre
- Our short courses are run with key partners with excellent reputations throughout the country. They are delivered in theatres and venues local to our members for their convenience or in dedicated training spaces, and we work closely with employers to encourage their backing for the programme.
- Career Development
- BECTU offers subsidised courses on Upgrading your CV, Business Skills for Freelances and Pitching and Presentation to help you develop and enhance your career opportunities. We are able to do this with help from the Union Learning Fund.
